This is a Thing build I invented while testing items and other Thing builds. Most Thing builds will specialize only in one Fantastic Friend power, but it turns out Thing can summon the boys and deal some decent damage and quickly clear mobs. This build doesn't use the Let's Roll Suzie power because Invisible Woman is lower damage than Mr. Fantastic has cooties.

 

This is an extremely tanky Thing build thanks to the damage resistance granted by Quit It, Hothead!, despite zero defensive investment. The build also has good aoe + clear, but the damage is fairly average. Which is less a problem with the build, but more how Thing is.

 

Gear: 

If you don't have the gear in slots 1-5, you can use Thing's Uniques. If you don't have a slot 4 cosmic, then a  is preferred. 

 

Artifact substitutes: , ,  , in roughly this order.

 

Starter Artifacts: , , , and . The first three artifacts are common drops and easy to find. The Medal of Valor is a reward for beating Chapter 10 Story Mode.

To start:  ->  ->  ->  ->  ->  ->  ->  ->  (hold)

 

Notes:

• In between Fantastic Friend Power usage, spam , throw , and hit  at least once or twice to refresh the dot.
• Refresh  after every . Don't hit it whenever it's off cooldown, or else you'll lose dps.
• Always use  and when they're off cooldown. Stretch and Hothead are higher damage than Thing's other powers, with the exception of his signature.
• Make sure you always use  before channeling  because Quit it, Hothead! is a ground dot.
