Hello guys and welcome to my Iceman cool guide, in this guide I'll explain all of my gearing choices and the way I personally run this build. This is a easy to learn and use build, I've tested it in all game modes and it performs really well in every mode, so you don't have to worry about damage output and/or survivability as it has a very balanced aspect to it, now let's dive right in!

LEGENDARIES
is our best option, it not only provides our best numbers for dps, but adds an extra survivability layer wich is more than welcome, the reason why rod beats
is because "purely" summoner Iceman isn't that great, it's not bad all, but the damage is lower is comparisson, however, if you already have a neptune and don't feel like switching, you can keep it just fine, your numbers may just lower a little bit in comparisson.
For the new player that don't have access to lvl 80 legendarie, stick to
.

ROTATION
First of all, we have 2 main spenders to choose from, for single target damage I recommend
, when fighting large groups of enemies, you can swap it for
, or you can be lazy like me and stick to icicles regardless and make it work.
Our rotation is based around proc's of shatter, so start by using
and follow it up with
, after that comes our next proc, use
and follow it with
, keep in mind that your golems will focus the target of your flash freeze, so use that to your advantage.
All the skills included in the rotation have 4 seconds of cd, so they will always be up in the correct order for you to proc shatter, wich is important to not only buff our damage, but also reduce the cd of our signature.
Rince and repeat the rotation while holding down your spender of choice, use
and
whenever they're off cd.

UNIQUES
Iceman is one fo those heroes who suffers from lack of own good uniques to use, his slo 1 and 5 the only somewhat decent ones.
Slot 1:
is unmatched, if you can't afford it yet, you can use
as a filler until you have access to fragment.
Slot 2:
is just way to good, the stats fits us perfectly and is easy to get, nothing else beats it!
Slot 3: This is where things get spicy,
is our best option, even if Iceman doesn't care about mental damage, you just can't overlook the stats you gain from it, it will give you the best damage numbers and it's easier to obtain whencompared to
wich is your second best option.
Slot 4: Iceman can use
the stats are good and if you happen to have a high rolled one it's pretty ok to use it, however a cosmic high rolled boot with +4 energy/durability and crit/brut damage, or in the best case both, will be your best option, but you will be hunting it down for a long time, I'm curretly using +4 energy, with brutal damage and health, the damage is really good (also the cosmic affix must always be attack speed and damage rating).
Slot 5:
is just absurd, +9 energy, plus the other stats makes it just perfect for most energy scalling heroes, if you don't have acces to it yet, you can use
, but the momment you put Jinn in it's place you'll be amazed by the dps increasse!

ARTIFACTS
The combination of artifacts listed on this build will provide you with what I consider to be the most balanced build, however, you can add your own twist.
For more damage, switch
with
.
For more survivability, switch
with
.
DON'T FALL FOR THE BAIT!
While
may look like a good choice it's damage ouput comes a little too short, due to the fact that we don't rely that much on our summoners to deal damage, therefore making this artifact not that great for us!

INSIGNIAS
For insignias I would first recommend that you grab one with crit/brut damage, or both if you're lucky, otherwise, any high rolled crit/brut damage with crit/brut chance or even attack speed will do, after that you can hunt down specifc insignias, with your best options being as listed in order:
,
,
.

RINGS
Offensive:
try to aim for one with +3 energy/durability with crit/brut damage, or if you feel you're lacking bruts, use brut strike rating, or if you're really luck and grab one with +3 energy and durability, then you just hit the jackpot!
Deffensive:
since our combination of artifacts and uniques makes us tanky, I really don't recommend this, as will result in a dps loss, but if you really want that extra layer of survivability, then go for it.

MEDALLION
For this, I don't see any reason why you would replace
with anything else, it's easy to obtain, and the stats fits us perfectly!

URUS
Even thou I love a good defensive uru, for this build, you don't really need it, so just take the extra dmg provided by using
, instead of
.
Asfor runewords
provides the best results, if you don't a doop rune, you can use
until you grab your doop rune.

ENDING NOTES
I only posted the infinity points I currently have for this build, if you happen to have more, I would invest in critical strike chance, signature damage and for the rest, go all out on energy!

THE END
