Hello! This is a guide to help you clear the cosmic trial on low IP with common gear you can easily find anywhere. This was a meme build I was experimenting with, but it ultimately didn't pan out so it's not on mhbugle. Even without the proper spirit stacking and cost reduction gear this build still easily clears the trial.

For an actual end game build look my Colossus and Friends Build.

Set Up

I followed the guidelines Lil set in his guides, which is a cap of 150 infinity points, and nothing that requires a ridiculous amount of grinding. 150 infinity points does not require too much grinding. To quote Lil.

I capped myself at 150 Infinity Points for these trial guides. It won't take too long to build up that many. By the time you've leveled up a few characters for synergies and farmed some Heroic (Red) Challenges and terminals for some gear you may even be past 150 IP when you try the trial. Worst thing that can happen when you try the trial is you fail there is no punishment. So give it a shot and see if you're missing damage, survivability or both.

The purpose of this build is to punch punch punch with the highest amount of spirit possible because Colossus scales pretty heavily off of spirit with this build.

Synergies

I used all the typical physical melee synergies + Loki for spirit cost reduction, and picked Colossus for the flavor. There's a chance Storm is BiS, but I haven't leveled her to 60 yet.

Infinities

I dumped points into temporal loophole - attack speed is very good on Colossus. I only put points into the dash cooldown node so I could perfectly fit within the 150 IP limit.

Gear

- Colossus has a lot of health and is pretty tanky so I just used the best ilvl 70 dps legendary. might be the best ilvl 70 legendary but I didn't have one. I personally think shield is overdoing it because this builld isn't very high dps.

Artifacts: The artifacts I used are all common easy to find ones that don't require target farming.  , and  all raise crit rating and/or brutal rating so you can get some nice orange and red numbers. is straight up BiS for this build thanks to the +spirit and the fact Colossus will always have less than 15% spirit in combat. If you have boss artifacts such as  and , use them because they're better dps.

Slots 1-5: I simply used all of Colossus's uniques. He has good uniques and some are even best in slot or close to it for him.

Ring: I used a brutal rating and brutal damage cosmic to get BIGGER REDDER NUMBERS. A +3 strength or durability ring is better than brutal damage, but I don't have that. A  is BiS but that requires a shield supply box or farming the dimensions collide terminal, and this guide is meant to get you into cosmic patrols ASAP.

Medallion. There is no other choice. Spirit cost reduction reduces the cooldown on Colossus's signature, and his signature refreshes all of his other cooldowns. Don't worry about the 1% health loss, it is more than made up for thanks to the health on hit from .

Catalyst: +5 spirit/armor on hit is by far the most important affix. I didn't list it because for whatever reason it's unavailable on mhbugle. Anyway, if you have just a teeny bit of armor you'll still get the damage absorption and reduction from it, making colossus way tankier.  Watch Remilla's video for more information.

I'm aware I forgot to equip an insignia for the trial, oops.

Team Up

Jessica Jones, grouping up enemies is really good and the aoe on this build is not great. Quicksilver does the same thing but on a higher cooldown if you're tired of Jessica Jones.

Playstyle

You're going to be punching a lot.

- This is your basic punch and what you do when everything else is on cooldown. Punch punch punch.

- This is your dash, it is a shoulder charge, which is kind of like a punch. In all seriousness, it's a run of the mill dash.

- This is your buff. It is a big ttl buff, and thanks to health and spirit scaling, it makes you punch harder. Cast this before going into combat.

- This is your cooldown overhead punch, it's a fairly strong execute.

- This is another cooldown punch, but it's a jumping leaping slam punch with aoe. It's one of his few aoe skills.

- Magik punches with her sword. She provides a 20% maximum armor bonus for six seconds, giving you stronger punches. Summon her after you use .

- Nightcrawler punches with his feet. Basically another dps layer. I just looked at the numbers and on paper Nightcrawler is better than . If you want to follow lore and use fastball special, go right ahead.

- The strongest punch of all, the X-Men Arcade game meme roar. Make sure you use this if everything is on cooldown because it's an instant cooldown refresh and halves your cooldowns for the next 9 seconds (+2 duration from talent and +1 from )

NOTE: If you want a vulnerability skill that is decent aoe too, then replace or with . I normally use for vulnerability but that requires farming.

Hopefully this guide helps you clear the cosmic trial with ease so you can get big loot drops and those sweet cosmic artifacts. Thanks to Lil for the other Cosmic Trial guides and the format. He's doing great work helping out beginners and getting them into the end game.
