Who is Cyclops in the game? A glass cannon without the cannon. And he needs prep time like his pupil, Batman. I mean, he needs to use his skills to boost his Signature before use and after that, through his Uniques and Talents.

Skills
Ricochet Beam: Wipe the trash mobs and help to fight some boss waves, but shine against two bosses at the same time, especially if they are close.
Focused Beam: Main spender and consumes a lot of energy. If only it had the same damage as Punisher's main skills.

Strike Team - Iceman: Dots and slows down our adversaries, nice.
Shotgun Beam: Cool name. Since I chose Overwatch instead of Master Tactician, this skill applies vulnerability to this situation.
"Ideal for neutralizing close targets." I wish. It should be a high-risk, high-reward skill with auto-brut, and knockdown, or Stun.
Explosive Blast: Vulnerability Proc, and safer than Shotgun Beam.
Optic Beam: Wiggle? Yes, wiggle or weaving. Two skills to attempt the same damage as a top-ranged character.
Optic Devastation: More power-hungry than the Shotgun Beam, a wider area, and a longer cooldown.

Since the Focused and Ricochet beams are power hungry, the default skill Optic Blast is necessary before level 38 and Maximum Optics. A good catalyst with Energy Regen helps, but don't make miracles.
His beams are weak; you need the Strike team skills layers to help with the damage, to activate procs on the 3 and 4 uniques, and do Maximum Optics, Energetic Leadership, and Leader of the X-Men loop.
No, the other way around. That's how the char was designed in the game. A character with the polemic and debatable 10% XP synergy, before the premium options.
Richochet beams all day in the Shield Holo sim, grab some uniques, and use Odin Potion in MM Patrol before level 50. After that, start and finish the story, and good luck with Doom.

4 Energy for trait bonuses, atk speed, and Spirit and Spirit Recovery. (Our boy is a bit hungry.)
7 int + Dmg vs Enemies not targeting you.
Maybe this can help Beast.
Good for leveling and that's all, spare some time on MM to grab some uniques.
Slot 2:
5 Int + 6 Energy. Health, Move Speed, Survival Bonuses. (You need to be alive, but to give a damage buff to your buddies in shared quests.)
"When you drop 50%, gain +2,463 defense rating." It stacks with the Helm of Doom.
Atk Speed + Int + Ener.
Slot 3:

A tough choice. The belt has more defensive functions and we need this at the current stage of the game's revival. (V0..5.0). Beast and Iceman's offensive (around 1600 Critical Damage Rating) and defensive bonus stacks. Don't forget to command them into battle.

It's not as bad as I thought it would be, but the credits affix could do with something better in the place. Some characters have uniques that are insane.

- Like the Circlet proc on Rank 5, +5 attributes for 10s when the health is bellow 50%, this is not a difficult task for Cyclops in Cosmics. *Giggle. Use this to your advantage, use your Signature while in the force field, and ensure survival with a MedKit.

X-Gen with 3 Int, invisibility, 100 Spirit when you use your Med Kit, and Shield when you use your Med Kit.
Talents
First Row: X-Man Stand By = Only worth it if Iceman is not on your skill bar; sometimes this skill triggers while you are using the Signature and beams.
If there is a way to swap Magik for Improved Optics on their respective rows, it will be a win-win for beam builds and for the bold ones who play as Punchclops.
Second Row
Improved Optics - More DMG against a single target. Our bane in this game. If you can't maintain spirit, with a catalyst/Skrull Medallion/Cyclops artifact/Advanced Generator artifact or while leveling, it's better to pick Maximum Optics.

Maximum Optics - Recover your spirit and more Pwr Dmg for 10 sec. Improved Optics only help the Focused Beam, and depending on the situation, it's better to buff the other beam skills.
Third Row: Cutting Beam because of Ricochet Beam.
Fourth Row: Energetic Leadership - With this talent, Beast becomes almost a team-up 100% of the time and more uptime for Unique 3 procs.
Fifth Row: Leader of the X-Men - Team Strike spam for less Sig cooldown.
His talent tree is bad; three options are wasted by the choices of Strike team flavor. A notable combo is Maximum Optics, Leader of the X-Men, and Energetic Leadership, but you lose Emma.
It is possible to improve the situation offline.

Finally, a Cyclops talent tree with synergy between them. Emma is a luxury here.
