Update for infinty point changes, Also changed out Iron Leagion Armour Sheath   for Hood of the reaper as it was basically made for Magik, infinity points are set to 1157 which is what i currently have

 

MIND GEM : focus on Crit hit %  gives you 3.8% increase for 152 points, if already at very hit crit rating go with crit damage % instead

POWER GEM : i choose brutal damage because it's exactly 150 points for bonus, and my brutal chance was already faily high, this will help soul sever damage especially with the Execute for some big red numbers

REALITY GEM : 6 points into energy primary stat, for 150 point bonus,

SOUL GEM : 5 points for fighting primary stat, and i like 10 in health regen because i don't like dying but you could put it all in fighting

SPACE GEM : as mentioned i don't like dying and since magik's base damage negate is a bit lower than other melee heroes i prefer to max Micro warps for +75% total defence rating as it helps with negate alot, and gravity well to 100% base health, because i like to tank and am no longer using ILAS in build so this makes up for the health loss from artifact change

TIME GEM : temporal wormhole to 20% increaseto attack and move speed

 

For infinity system put at minimium 150 points into each tree to ger the +1 to all attributes  which gives you 8 % base damage + benificial effects (4% damage per primary attribute point) over 6 trees this equals 48% base damge increase which is too good to pass up

this is my Darkchylde Magik Build, it's not a Glass Canon and is a viable endgame build

built to current infinity points not maximium, and current gear

getting cosmically enhance versions would further add to durability but are not required

 

***********************************  Gear   ****************************************

her own Uniques are pretty much BIS with the exception of slot 5 where octobot is far better

Warlock eye for legendary as all magik's attacks are mental damage type it is the best choice

Shield agent medallion is my top choice for it's blend of damage and health,  the Skrull avengers medallion would be a good runner up

Sling ring is great but a good ICp ring (mental or melee) would be a good choice as well

insignia i am using an Iceman as signature, soul shockwave, and eruption is classed as ranged, and are the heavy hitting skills,

other insignias focusing on melee or area  would also be good, such as beast, piotr rasputin, or Quake

 

************************************  Artifacts  **********************************

the core of the build revolves around electro artifact Advanced Reserve Generator with it you get +3 energy and huge spirit reduction allowing soul Cleaving to become our basic skill, plus a nice crit damage bonus, only dissadvantage is it is very hard to farm for

sinister diamond    is also essential since half of Magik's skills will trigger both effects

Gem of the Kursed is great for crit /  brut rating and damage

I am now using Hood of the Reaper with +4 fighting it gives 16% base damage increase and a bonus is 2% crit modifier from fighting, has basically the same brut chance value a lot less health which i use infinity points to offset, and a large amount of mental damge which is all of magik's damage and helps add to mental damge rating that is stacking from warlock eye legenday+ sling ring+mantle+hood+uru + base damage rating you should have well over 6K mental damage rating

 

if you don't have a hood use iron leagion   is great for multiplier damage with 5 energy + 20% damage increase a massive health pool and some brut strike

alternate artifacts can be used such as essence of dread , mental focus headband  or danger AI chip

 

ideally the artifacts should be Cosmic but some are hard to farm for so i listed what i currently have

affixes should be 1ST + 2000 health in combat

2ND +1 to all attributes

3rd +1500 defence, deflect or doge

4th what ever you need if you have spirit issues got with -15% spirit cost or +1500 def, deflect or dodge

unfortunately the affixes don't stack so 2 with +1 to attributes is a waist of an affix

*****************************  SKILLS  *****************************************

order of skills doesn't really matter with the exception of Soul brand everything, this gives Soul cleaving a 25% damage boost , and will trigger both effects of sinister diamond

use soul shockwave  and  sorcerous eruption to clear trash and hit bosses

when you have 5 soul charges use soul sever on bosses/ elites (+20% crit change per soul 5 charge is 100%)

otherwoldly nova is great with sling ring as it gives you 2 s invul to heal and will kill most trash mobs

use seven league step as required, in raids save for surtur slam after 5 tail wags hit it and  you remain invul while attacking and can avoid damage, take a bit to get timing right but very effective

soul cleaving for everything else, and stepping disc to close distance to melee range as needed or to run away if in trouble
