A lot of folks say Energy Jean Grey is bad. Well they just dont know how to play her...

This build works great in CoA, for TAHITI I highly recomment switching to either Telepathic Illusion or Expel Phoenix Force with the Tempered Force Talent, and also switch to Telepatic Dominance and Heart of the Team Talents... We will talk about this more further down in the written guide.

Her rotation is verry simple:

Hold  >  >  >  >  >  > x2  if you feel fancy and end it with .

Has a long, LONG cooldown but its her best damaging ability, period! Ive seen numbers to go around 600k on a brutal hit, thats two hits per seconds mind you, or 9 hits in total if you have 4.5seconds duration on it. It also provides 60% Damage Reduction which is amazing defensive tool to have.

I highly recommend not using the Enviormental Hazard Talent but Phoenix Ascending instead. Since it makes both Telekinetic Throw and Phoenix Drain cosming 0 Spirit and deal half of Tactical Destruction card(description) damage. Your damage potential with either of them is way higher than with an ability that has a cooldown with 100% brutal hit. Yes you read that right, I have done a week of testing with that character just to prove that. Even in CoA with our 50%CDR, both  Telekinetic Throw and Phoenix Drain are the superior choice!

If you dont like the long cooldown of Debris Storm, you can replace it with  while switichg to the Friends of the First Class talent. Telepathic Illusion is also an great ability to have, that is why we are using Iron Legion Armor Sheath. Not only it provides +5 Energy, brutal rating and a lot of HP, but if you are to use Illusions, well there is a nice bonus Summon damage in it as well. Although it is not the same Illusion that Emma uses, since it has 150% bonus health instead the 700% Emma has, it still a great choice since it provides a big AoE DoT and also taunts enemies, forcing them to fight it instead you.

  • If you are to go with the Expel Phoenix Force approach, keep in mind that the gameplay of that build drasticly changes. You will have to first build your meter to be able to use Expel, then after roughly 50 seconds use Dark Phoenix, then the loop repeats. We want to use it that way so we can keep the buff from the Temered Force Talent as long as we can. Downside being, you are stuck in her Mental state untill you are fill your meter again.

This build works great because we do get a constant Damage Absorbtion from both our Psychokinetic Implosion and its talent, and from the main source as well, which is Psychokinetic Barrier. This allows you to be constanty in the face of any foe, with little to no care about what kind of moves they are using. I personally have been taking direct hits from Cosmic Rhino charges and surviving them using this build.

Gloves of the Twelve can be replaced with Fragment of Twilight. After a lot of testing with both items, I personally prefer the Gloves. Bow of the Einherjar works great too, if you prefer the big brutal hits from its proc. We dont care about the revive that Fragment provides, since we have 2min revive from our Catalyst and also the Cosmic Egg.

Golden Sash of the Cosmic Entity is way better on Jean than Coat of the Skull, but feel free to experiment with both.

If you lack a Skrull Military Uniform, her Unique slot 4 1610 Brand Calf Skin Boots or even Cerebra Helmet Interface works great as a replacement.

Essence of Jinn can be replaced with both of her slot 5 Uniques - M'Kraan Nexus Mask and Revolution's Red Face Mask both provide a lot of raw Attribute points, and brutal/critical hit chance and damage respectively.

Bullseye's Deck of Cards also have a cosmic variant, website doesnt register it for some reason. You can swap that for a Cosmic Mental Focus Headband or Siege's Cosmically Enhanced Targeting System.

Same goes for Starktech Sentinel Adaptive Plating, I just love the survivability it provides.

Lastly, we use S.H.I.E.L.D. Support Team-Up while away because well, it has a lot of spammable abilities that it uses, plus it provides Vulnerability debuff, which we lack. Anthoer great potions are Jessica Jones Team-Up and Jubilee Team-Up

Here is an video of Jean blasting Cosmic Time Square terminal with ease. Enjoy!
