Seats are open & class is in session!

The multiverse is cracked open. Again. There are many of us to train.
This will not be a session about which equipment to wear. That is for the Hanks and the Reeds to figure out.
We do not have time for that. We will be training in the art of actual combat.
Let us begin.

Begin your attack by overwhelming your prey with all of your "charges."...
![]()
Refill two "charges" while cutting them up in the process....................................
![]()
![]()
Deliver a quick three-hit distraction, while you plan your next assault.........................
![]()
If you get your 25% reset, slice them open before they can adapt..................
Twist their wounds to exasperate their bleeding........................................
Expose their weaknesses with all of the "charges" you have acquired.....
(Play the tape now, please.)
(Gotcha.)
... You may see others using Final Technique with Disembowel.
I can assure you, our methods are superior.

Our style also keeps us efficient in our work.
We have many targets. We have limited resources. Cyclone Kick with Deadly Grace allows us to regain our Dancing Blades... "charges"... much more smoothly between battles than Disembowel with Final Technique does, as we are not required to hit anything to get our... "cooldown" refunded.
... I do not know what a lot of these words mean. But I am told that you will. That is good enough for me.

In or out of combat, a good way of thinking about it is that Laura's fighting style works by sort of... storing her Signature charges "in the bank," so to speak. You can build them up whenever you want, and spend them whenever you want, as long as you make sure to avoid running out of Spirit, or overcapping on the charge limit of five!... With that being said, Laura can be pretty damn squishy- |
|
-Excuse you. |
|
|
|
-And so, because of this... when certain fights get too heated, it is highly recommended to step away for a moment to recover, and continue to build up more charges. Your DPS is basically "on hold" for this time, and you can spend the charges later once you've recovered! |

Exhilerating display... I am sure they needed to be told not to stand still and die.
... Ant any rate... He is right.
Our healing factor appears to no longer be working... Perhaps Sinister has established new inhibitor towers.
If we must take defensive maneuvers against our foes, then we will inadvertently show them our strength in our adaptability.
(You can play the next video.)

"Don't be afraid to-"
Hoookay.
...
C'mere, you-

Oh dear... "In the face of pain, there are no heroes." - Orwell, 1984. Of course, I had imagined my opportunity to use this quote would be... a bit less direct. |
|
At any rate, come, and we shall discuss some of the gear!
|
|
It is highly recommended to use at least two Cosmic slots, in the 2nd and 4th positions at minimum. Kinney Family Locket is a very good item for Slot 3 until you get a fully-affixed Cosmic.
Now, for the Cosmic Affixes, you have two options: The first option is to have one Slot with the 800+ damage rating proc, and the rest have the Movement cooldown proc. The second option is the option that those two are currently testing out, which is to just have every Cosmic Affix be of the Movement cooldown variety. They believe the first option is probably superior, and I am inclined to agree myself! But, what is science, if not the constant challenging of one's own beliefs? |
|
|
With that being said, we are currently in search of a solid Cosmic Slot 5 to replace Cobra's Hood. However, that search is proving rather... difficult, regrettably. We highly suspect that a Cosmic Slot 5 is preferable, but Cobra's Hood is still incredibly strong in the meantime! |
|
|
These are perhaps the single most significant defensive options available. There are stronger offensive options, certainly! However, we all feel confident in our prediction that you will not want to put these down, once you have tried them out. ... Additionally, there is certainly something to be said about the impending offensive capabilities of the one still standing, if you ask me. |
|
|
If I'm not mistaken, they have admitted to not giving the Medallion slot much thought. Bullseye Medallion is easy enough to accumulate that you will surely have a good one in no time. Medallion of the Dark Dimension seems a bit overrated in comparison, boasting only 1 more main attribute, while losing all of the critical chance and some of the critical damage... although the health is very appealing. However, it is much harder to find a well-rolled one, and you may not even need the health by the time you have everything else. Ohhhh, I would say the Medallion slot is very much... six of one thing, or half a dozen of another! |
|
Well, that was most certainly fun! I do enjoy a good discussion on theories! I believe you folks call it... theorycrafting, do you not? |

|
|
Thank you, Hank, for covering that segment. I... think that's about all we got for now! Laura? |
|
Agreed. This should be sufficient for the first lesson. ... ... Thank you all for coming. |
|
Class dismissed.

Shoutout to X23 in-game, you keep pushing me to keep up!
(Here's his Laura build, go easy on him, he's a Disembowel user hehahueHAUHE: https://itembase.mhbugle.com/build/10727/)
Shoutout, of course, to the Tahiti team itself for resurrecting this game, and to the original devs for making my favorite game ever!
My in-game name is 4thBro on the Tahiti servers, while my MHBugle name is FourthBro.
In the original live servers, my in-game name was FourthBro, and my MHBugle name was 4thBro... LOL... I'm a mess.
(I utterly do not have my login info for my old MHBugle account. But I did make a big wall-of-text guide for Black Cat that people seemed to like! Check that out too, if you'd like: https://itembase.mhbugle.com/build/951/)
Bonus Video:
16 minutes of Laura solo versus Cosmic Midtown boss waves.
