Legendary Star-Lord Vol 1 (2014–2015) | Marvel Database | Fandom

Burst Build

So, the idea for the build centers on your left-click, . You’ll want to lead with  to apply Vulnerability before jumping into your rotation. The rotation itself depends on what you need, if you need a freeze, start the rotation with , if you need AOE burst damage, start with . The rotation is pretty straightforward,, , , , and so on. You can also pop your right away to grab those extra stats and the damage buff to boost your overall output.

↓ If you're low on Spirit to start the rotation, here's the play  ↓

Another Rotation

You can swap out the for , so your bar is going to look a bit different. And you’re going to swap out your legendary.

 So swap your    for .

So the skills bar will be ->  |  |  |  | |  | |

A little disclaimer: I set up the bar based on my own keybinds and playstyle, so go ahead and use the same abilities but feel free to tweak them to fit whatever works best for you. Rotation

It's going to be similar to the one above, the main difference is that you'll be weaving in . Basically, whenever your elemental powers are on cooldown, you just filler with .

Slot 1

You can stick with , but honestly, running the   is a great alternative for this setup. It synergizes perfectly with , especially since we're rotating it as a filler whenever the elemental skills are on cooldown. Another solid option is the , It's great.

Slot 2

For protection and Fighting, go with the  . You can also just stick with Star-Lord’s character-specific . Why run Inertia? Because you’re constantly proccing Starship through your Cluster Bomb and the Strafe passive. Since you're always on the move or resetting with the 50% CDR, you basically have 100% uptime on the item's passive buff.

Slot 3

If you're running the  build, own unique are a solid bet. But, if you need that extra layer of protection and you’re not rocking the , swapping in some  gear.

Slot 4

The goal is to eventually land a , but getting that drop is another story. Until then, just stick with Peter Quill's  or whatever you've got. Honestly, even a Rare cosmic item with high Brutal and Crit Damage rolls works fine as a placeholder while you grind.

Slot 5

The ideal pick for this setup is definitely  , but if you're not feeling it, just run Star-Lord’s own unique . The main thing is to keep an eye on your current stats, especially with the Empty the Clips build and swap in whatever viable option helps you.

Artifacts

Basically, any artifacts that roll Energy, Fighting, Brutal Damage, or Critical Damage will fit this build perfectly. Just swap them for high-stat hybrids or even some survivability gear like an Advanced Kung Fu if you're getting one-shot. The 50% CDR handles the speed, so you just need to make sure your hits actually hurt.

Rings

You can run a  if you're looking for extra protection, but honestly, the best move is to stack Brutal Damage and Critical Damage on your rings  , .

Bonus

Just a heads up, this build is specifically tuned for the CoA server. Since CoA has a flat 50% Cooldown Reduction on all powers, the rotation becomes viable.

Why the Iron Man pick? Simple: it’s all about that +1 Energy and the Ranged Power boost.

You can use a different Team-Up instead of  . Yes, choose whichever one you want, whether it's 'Always Away' or active all the time. See what your playstyle is and select the one you need.

It's definitely a viable pick for insignia.

I haven't tested it yet, but the  could definitely be a viable slot-in for this build. Running  alongside the Cosmic Rod is a huge extra Energy stats.

For the Catalyst, focus on staying alive so go for the catalyst proc that gives you a damage shield equal to 50% of your max health on a medkit use. If you've got enough Infinity Points, go for the 1000 damage rating proc. You want +3 Fighting/Energy, Ranged Damage, and Health on Hit. The important part for survivability is the 25% Medkit recovery or Defense rating and the 2-minute invul passive that’s what lets you drop the  and  for a more offensive slot.

There's anothers Slot 1 options I haven't tested yet is the  and .

I tested the , but it didn't really click for me. It's usable for an Empty the Clips setup.

I’m not personally using  or a  in my current setup, but if you want to run them, feel free.

Feel free to create your hero synergies.
