Crit-Neeto! Magneto
A TAHITI server Build Guide
This build focuses on the auto-crits from the Row 2 - #2 Talent Super Compression to make
Impale with Iron and
Compressed Shrapnel our main DPS and builds around that. The strengths of this build are more arround comfortable AoE clearing of mobs in terminals and patrols thanks to
being an auto-crit, though it still has comparable single target DPS to the Scrapneto build from Frostacus (though a bit lower).
Play this build if you want more comfortable and easy terminal and patrol clearing.
*IMPORTANT NOTE* Debris (spirit) sustain is actually a sneakily important thing for Magneto's DPS, at least with this build, as the Row 1 - #3 Talent Run Through paired with Row 2 - #2 Talent Super Compression is a big source of damage. We need to keep ourselves above 500 Debris at all times in order to have high DPS. Just remember not to go too overboard on Spirit sustain, we want to just reach the point where we stay above 500, but we don't need to stay at max or anything like that.
Gear
Slot 1:
is our BiS as it is on pretty much every Hero. Use Mag's
or
if you don't have one.
Slot 2: A Cosmic
with BSR, CDR, and BDR is BiS. For Cosmic affix we want the Might affix for the extra Damage Rating and Attack Speed. If you don't have one then use Mag's
, the defensive value it has is quite nice!
Slot 3:
is BiS. If you don't have one then a
or Mag's own
are good placeholders.
Slot 4:
is BiS here. Until you get a
or Mag's own
are good placeholders.
Slot 5: For DPS
is definitely BiS when well rolled, but Magneto does suffer from being squishy, so I find that using a
actually feels a lot more comfortable to play with even though its a decent DPS loss (not a big one though!). Use Mag's
if you don't have either of those.
Artifacts (TTKs for each combination are incomplete, these are not final for BiS)
There are a lot of great artifacts to use, but
,
,
(cosmic or Int), and
are my go-to's. The
is very good because of the Spirit recovery, and it is good damage.
Other great artifacts are:
,
,
,
and
are all quite good as well (in that order).
For Cosmic Affixes, -15% Spirit Cost is a must, then I go for +1 Attributes, +2000 Health, and +1500 Defense/Deflect Rating.
Medallion, Insignia, Catalyst, Uru, Ring, & Legendary
Medallion:
is BiS for the Spirit recovery and amazing amounts of Damage it grants.
is good for the TTL and gives consistent damage, but
is easier to get and is comparable (but the damage boosts don't have 100% up-time).
Insignia: we want Brutal Strike Rating and Critical Damage for our affixes here, but +Debris, Ranged Damage Rating, or Brutal Damage Rating would be good too. Best insignias to go for are
or
but if you can manage to roll a
with BSR and CDR then the Tougness would be really nice for TTL.
Catalyst: We for sure want Spirit on hit, increased Medkit heal & 100 spirit, and +3 Int. For the last affix I find +Debris is most comfortable for keeping me above 500 Debris, but +Ranged Damage Rating or +Health would be great too. For the Cosmic affix we definitely want medkit shield because we are squishy, and the 1000 Health regen purple mutation bonus too.
Uru & Runeword: We want the 800 Defense Rating Uru for TTL, and
is BiS.
is a good placeholder for DPS, or if you need Spirit sustain then you can use a
.
Ring:
is great for TTL and the Attack Speed. Until you get one use a CDR Cosmic with any 2 of: +3 Int, CDR, BSR.
Legendary:
is our BiS for DPS, but you could also use a
if you want the extra Health and Energy for reduced Spirit costs.
Infinity Points
For IP, I only have around 350 right now. I am prioritizing 150 in each Infinity Stone:
Time: 38 Temporal Loophole
Space: 75 Gravity Well
Mind: 25 Deep Thought and 125 Mental Focus
Power: 50 Superhuman
Reality: 150 Potency
Soul: 20 Against All Odds and 2 Strike Through
Talents
If you can keep yourself above 500 Debris at all times (the main setup here can), then you should go 32132 for best DPS. Otherwise go 32131 and swap
in place of
to help recover Debris when you need it.
TTK Videos (in progress, will Update)
This seyup has been testing pretty much equal to the Scrapneto setup for me with my gear and IP. I have done some DPS calculations though, and I think once you have a lot of IP (1,500+) the Scrapneto build ends up winning out on single target damage.
