For a more indepth look on Thor, please refer to Astyy's build: https://itembase.mhbugle.com/build/1555/

I've been fishing for an alternate way to play Thor since Live (and TAHITI, which I was on pre-1.0 for quite some time). I did try to come up with something on there (might've even tried this exact setup, I can't remember) but Thor's kit is just limited to have anything else be comparable. However, with CoA's 50% CD, this becomes comparable. (I do have two other "builds", but they are no where near comparable to Astyy's as this one. And I also just wanted to use .)

This is essentially a Thor build without a Filler and what I personally use to casually roam around in Terminals/Patrols/Danger Room to nuke Trash with less effort. I kept everything fairly similar to Astyy's build, as I tend to swap between builds.

Downsides:

  • There will be some split second pauses in-between some ability casts if you're to ignore re-positioning. You can remedy this slightly by just doing the rotation "slower". No need to be maximum APM. We care about our elderly hands here.
  •  becomes a Ranged ability, so you won't be able to optimize its damage without re-positioning, since you'll be hugging the boss(es) most of the time. Ultimately, not a big deal.
  • Me publishing this. I'm sorry.

For TTK enthusiasts: I was averaging around ~70 seconds with Astyy's build and roughly ~80 seconds with this iteration. Albeit, I'm still not optimal on the "rotation", but in live play, you're not standing around beating a motionless dummy anyway (for the most part). The discrepancy is minute in actual play.

Rotation(?):

Start with:                 -> into Loop

Loop:

  and  should line up at the end of the Loop

This ain't a definitive rotation, so if you end up discovering a better flow, go with that. We just here to shoot lightning, throw our hammer and nuke Trash mobs.

I have yet to use this in a Raid, but theoretically, it should be fine.

Thank you for coming to my TED Talk. Have a Godly Smite day.
