This guide is addendum to my Rocket Raccoon endgame guide which can be found here.

Summon Your Groot

Initiate combat by throwing  to apply Vulnerability

Place down your turrets x2

Use the charge ability on  every 10 seconds, even for single target.

Use  every 6 seconds

Use  every 8 seconds

Use  every 8 seconds

to replenish Ammo and to Dash

 while waiting for your cooldowns

can be used a defensive cooldown and shield replenisher

Below, I have outlined some tips to follow for each ability. It is definitely not required to read this to do your rotation, but if want to take your rotation a bit further then check 'em out.

Always have the maximum amount of Suppression Turret down and preferably right on top of whatever mob you're hitting

  • Try to maximize the amount of time these are out and only reapply these just before they run out. The reasoning behind this is that two things happen when you place a turret.
  • It drains your Plasma Ammo
  • It resets the attack of your turret.
  • This means that to minimize your Laser Drill usage as well as maximize the amount of times your turret attacks, you'll want to apply your turrets the least amount of times possible while having 100% uptime. This becomes especially important if you take the Upgraded Fleetslayer or Upgraded Gauss RIfle talents as each summon resets the attack timer.

Cast M78 Plasma Launcher every 8 seconds

This will be doing the most damage besides your filler.

Cast H7 Fleetslayer every 6 seconds or so

  • You can be pretty lenient with this as H7 now has charges that stack. Feel free to let the charges roll over if you have to perform another action.

Cast Gravity Mine every 8 seconds.

  • This will apply the Vulnerability debuff to anyone affected by the AoE. This will be the most important ability you use in your rotation. This essentially multiplies all the damage you do by 10%.

Cast Laser Drill Burrow when you are just about to run out of Plasma Ammo

  • It is most efficient to wait until you are JUST about to run out of Plasma Ammo to use Laser Drill. The reasoning behind this is that using it as little as possible maximizes Photon Minigun uptime. Do not worry about keeping up the attack speed buff as that +12% attack speed buff will be HIGHLY diminished at high gear levels, especially with the +IAS node in the infinity tree. Just worry about using Laser Drill as little as possible.

When all of your cooldowns are down, channel Photon Minigun

  • Photon Minigun will be doing the majority of your dps with Upgraded Minigun. Do not worry too much about losing stacks of Photon Minigun. The buff lasts for 5 seconds and takes about 2 seconds to get back. The actual amount of time it takes to reach full power will depend on your attack speed. Each single attack with it will generate a stack. So if you attack 16 times a second then it will generate 16 stacks a second.

With My Friend Groot, you'll want to make sure that Groot is out at all times. On top of that, you'll want to use him for his charge ability on cooldown, even when fighting only one mob.

  • Using his charge is a great way to generate snap threat on a bunch of mobs. Run into a group of mobs with Laser Drill, plop all your turrets, Laser Drill out, and then have Groot charge into the middle of the mob pack.
  • With the new patch, they reduced the animation time of Groot's charge making it more worthwhile that it was before.

Use Shield Booster as a defensive cooldown.

  • This essentially gives you a 33% uptime on a 50% damage reduction shield
  • Try to save this when you know a big attack is about to hit you or when you are close to a bunch of mobs.
  • If you don't know the best time to use it--spam it off cooldown!

Optional Abilities

( You can replace these abilities in order of lowest dps to highest dps: Suppression Turret > H7 Fleetslayer )

Use Hadron Enforcer as a burst cooldown for large groups of enemies.

  • While this does not increase your single target dps by much, if at all, it is best used for large groups of enemies.

Use Warpath as a way to quickly get out of dangerous situations while dealing continuous aoe damage

Rocket Dash can be handy in raids or situations where extra movement in combat is inevitable

  • Laser Drill can double as an in-combat dash and is fine by itself, but if you find yourself needing to move alot, replace either H7 or Shield Booster with Rocket Dash.

Received for completing the chapter 10 storyline.

Miscellaneous artifact found off of random bosses and in chests. It's easy enough to get to where you could probably get this for free if you ask nicely.

Miscellaneous artifact found off of random bosses and in chests. It's easy enough to get to where you could probably get this for free if you ask nicely. This artifact lasts for 10 seconds and only triggers when you go below 15% Plasma Ammo. Try to get into the habit of watching your ammo and only Laser Drill when you absolutely need to. If you don't want to bother with this artifact, I list a bunch of other cheap ones you can get below.

Miscellaneous artifact found off of random bosses and in chests. It's easy enough to get to where you could probably get this for free if you ask nicely.

Other than the above 4, there are a couple that you might be able to get off the trade channel for cheap (1 Blessing/100 Odin Marks):

will be two of your best in slot artifacts. If you can, try to get these two artifacts first.

Rocket Raccoon's slot 1 unique. This can be found off of any boss or mob.

Any class slot 2 unique. This gives more dps and defensive stats than anything else easily accessible to Rocket Raccoon.

Rocket Raccoon's slot 3 unique. There is absolutely no replacement for this as it's not only one of the best starter items but also the best endgame item for this slot.

Rocket Raccoon's slot 4 unique. This is just under Rocket Raccoon's best in slot item in terms of dps.

Rocket Raccoon's slot 5 unique. This is item is jam-packed with every kind of dps stat imaginable. The only thing this doesn't have is defensive stats.

Get as many of these as you can. These go all the way up to 1000.

Go into the Skrull Invasion terminal and kill any Infernal War Skrull there to get this medallion. This will be your best medallion all the way until endgame. You can pursue the comsic version if you would like, but the only difference between cosmic and non-cosmic now is 10% more crit chance on your med-kit usage. It's definitely not as mandatory as it was before the Biggest Update Ever.

Beast master will be one of the first enchants you get. If you get a Loki Rune then use it for God of Mischief. What you ultimately want to do is get yourself a Tyr Rune and enchant your Uru-forged with BowazonBowazon is what you should be aiming for.

is what I have listed as the default choice, but we'll go over some alternatives. Norn Stones is a great legendary if you want added dps while still having a bit of defense as well. The proc is exceptional and only has a 60 second cooldown, meaning that it can proc once or twice a terminal run if you farm those. If you want to go full dps, get a Gungnir. I personally like Shield of Perseus because it allows you to participate in group content without having to worry as much about getting one-shot by a mob or boss.

Either one of these rings will work. You have a chance of getting one of these from the boxes in the Industry City Patrol zone. If you can't manage to get one of these, you can either use a Midtown Guardian's Signet or Cosmic Ring with a combination of:

  • Ranged Damage
  • Critical Hit Rating
  • Critical Damage Rating
  • Brutal Damage Rating
  • Brutal Hit Rating
  • Health

The crafted affixed can either be Critical Damage Rating or Critical Strike Rating depending on what legendary you have. If you have elected to get Gungnir then put Critical Damage Rating on all 4 affixes. If you purchased Shield of Perseus, put Critical Strike Rating. If you put Critcal Strike Rating, don't waste money trying to get max-rolled affixes as you will want to replace those with Critical Damage Rating in the future.

For the stats on the Catalyst itself, go with any combination of:

  • Energy
  • Intelligence
  • Health on Hit
  • Regenerated 25% of your health and 100 Spirit when you use a Medkit
  • Health
  • Ranged Damage
  • Energy Damage

Any of these Insignias will work for you. The insignia effect will not matter as much as the two stats that come with.

The two insignia stats that you want to be on the lookout for are below in descending order of effectiveness:

  • Critical Strike Rating
  • Critical Damage Rating
  • Ranged Damage
  • Attack Speed
  • Boss Damage
  • Brutal Strike Rating
  • Intelligence
  • Brutal Damage Rating
  • Area Damage
  • Energy
  • Fighting

Having either health or defense is not a bad stat either.

For the pet stats, the 5 affixes should be:

  • Any amount of base health
  • Any amount of spirit
  • Brutal Damage > Base Energy Damage > Base Ranged Damage > Critical Damage > Summon Damage > Base Area Damage
  • 4% Critical Damage and 4% Attack Speed > 4% Base Ranged Damage and 4% Critical Damage > 4% Base Ranged Damage
  • Intelligence > Energy
  •         Note: Even though I put one is better than the other, mainly just aim for at least 3 of any stat.

The absolute first synergy you will want to get is Cyclops

The main reason is two-fold

  • It provides 2% Base Energy Damage. Almost all of the damage that comes from Rocket Raccoon is Energy
  • The most important one: It gives you 10% more experience with everything you do. This includes grining for Infinity Points.

Other than Cyclops, the other synergies you will want to pursue in order of importance are:

___________________________________________________________________________________________________________

The Mind Gem

Deep Thought
Calculated Efficiency
Of One Mind/Mind Over Matter
Intelligence

The less you have to Laser Drill Burrow, the more you can channel Photon Minigun. Increasing spirit is the best way to reduce Laser Drill Usage. Once you have maxed out Deep Thought then take Calculated Efficiency take Of One Mind followed by Mind Over Matter for the rest of your points. If you want to just go full dps, take Intelligence after Calculated Efficiency.

If you need more health for your turrets/Groot, take Of One Mind.

The Power Gem

Stand United
Indomitable
Power Overwhelming

Potency (If you are using signature)
Strength

Take Stand United over Potency. They give the same amount per point to their respective abilities; however, your summons will normally be doing the most dps out of the two choices. For the second tier, you can choose either Potency or Indomitable depending on if you are using your signature or not. I put Power Overwhelming second to last because it's a bit too costly for the payoff.

The Reality Gem

Tilt the Odds
Magic Bullets

Inner Resilience

Spliced Reality
Energy

Cap Tilt the Odds followed by Magic Bullets. Once you have that, you can take Inner Resilience followed by Spliced Reality.

The Soul Gem

Strike Through/God Among Insects
Strike True
True Ally
Fighting

Strike Through comes out ahead of Strike True due to the insane budget on the node. Getting 40 brutal damage rating per point is really good. You can cap out God Among Insects instead if you are low on health, but I choose not to in the video because Strike Through gives me too much of a dps increase to ignore. From there, you can cap out Strike True followed by True Ally.

The Space Gem

Micro-Warps/Red Shift
Co-Location/Spacial Substitution
Durability

Red Shift is the only node here that gives any dps increase. Since this is the defensive build, I am taking Micro-Warps over Red Shift, but you can take Red Shift before Micro-Warps if you feel that you are defensive enough. From there, you can take either Co-Location or Spacial Substitution.

The Time Gem

Temportal Loophole
Haste
Time Flux
Speed

Take temporal Loophole for the attack speed. As you are just starting out, the Attack Speed from this node is going to be amazing for you. Haste is the next best dps node here. Even though it does not directly increase your damaging stats, increased speed will allow you to reach targets faster allowing you to dps sooner. Once you are done with haste, cap out Time Flux and then put your points into Speed.

is one of the best free teamups you can get. He provides great crowd control which will be wonderful when you go through Cosmic Trial and have to worry about dealing with hordes of enemies. A video guide on how to get this can be found here.

is one of the cheapest and better teamups you can purchase. He gives you both defensive and health restorative benefits while also acting as a nice tank.

Other than the above, there is also that you can purchase with 2000 S.H.I.E.L.D. Omega Access Files. Agent Coulson will do the most dps out of any of the teamups in the game. This is the teamup that you will want to ultimately get for endgame dps.
