Hello! This is a guide to help you clear the cosmic trial on low IP with common gear you can easily find anywhere. This is not an endgame Venom build.

Clear Video:

Set Up

I followed the guidelines Lil set in his guides, which is a cap of 150 infinity points, and nothing that requires a ridiculous amount of grinding. 150 infinity points does not require too much grinding. To quote Lil.

I capped myself at 150 Infinity Points for these trial guides. It won't take too long to build up that many. By the time you've leveled up a few characters for synergies and farmed some Heroic (Red) Challenges and terminals for some gear you may even be past 150 IP when you try the trial. Worst thing that can happen when you try the trial is you fail there is no punishment. So give it a shot and see if you're missing damage, survivability or both.

The purpose of this build was to be fairly safe so I could punch away at enemies. As you can see in the trial video, Venom doesn't have the most impressive dps.

Synergies

I used mostly typical physical damage synergies. Loki was picked because Venom's powers cost a lot of Ichor.

Infinities

I dumped points into temporal loophole - attack speed is always a good choice, and an extra dash never hurts.

Gear

- Venom's dps is not very good, so I recommend using Gungnir.  I would not recommend   because this build is safe and generally isn't at risk of dying, and Venom's dps is not terribly high.

Artifacts: The artifacts I used are all common easy to find ones that don't require target farming.   , and  all raise crit rating and/or brutal rating so you can get some nice orange and red numbers. If you have boss artifacts such as  and , use them because they're better dps.

Slots 1-5: I used Venom's uniques because they're okay and easy to get. I'm pretty confident is better than .

Ring: I used a brutal rating and durability cosmic ring to get as much dps as I could. A physical  ICP or Sling Ring is a more balanced choice.

Medallion is best in slot for raw damage. is another good choice.

Catalyst: I'd say the most important affix aside from the usual 50% health shield on medki use is restoring heath on hit, because drains Venom's health. tAside from that affix, you also want the typical 50% health on shield.

Team Up

Jessica Jones, grouping up enemies is really good. Quicksilver does the same thing but on a higher cooldown if you're tired of Jessica Jones.

Playstyle

You're going to be holding down left click and firing everything off cooldown.

- This is your left click power, hold it down on a single target while you use your cooldowns. It does drain your health, but thanks to the We Are Indestructible talent on the fifth row, it's not much of an issue.

- This is your dash, use it to dodge the big red circles and cones.

- This is a decent AOE cooldown power.

- This power not only grants your melee powers an extra 10% damage, it also pulls enemies in. Be sure to this is on cooldown before using your signature so you get the 10% damage bonus.

- This is a long range cooldown power, it's fairly good poke.

- This is cooldown leap/slam power, use this to close the distance.

- This is your vulnerability applicator. Honestly, it's not very good but you can use it for some trash clear. It lasts around 5.5 seconds thanks to the power duration on Venom's slot 3.

- This is Venom's signature, it's a decent aoe burst that pulls enemies in and grants Venom a lot of damage reduction for 6 seconds.

Honestly, you're basically spamming skills off cooldown while using , but make sure you use and first for the vulnerability and the bonus to melee powers, respectively.

Hopefully this guide helps you clear the cosmic trial with ease so you can get big loot drops and those sweet cosmic artifacts. Thanks to Lil for the other Cosmic Trial guides and the format. He's doing great work helping out beginners and getting them into the end game.

Thanks for reading!
