Hello! This is a guide to get you through the Cosmic Trial with Emma Frost. Note: This is NOT the best Emma Frost. It is NOT end game Emma Frost. You will not find the BiS items in this build. 

Set Up

I capped myself at 150 Infinity Points for these trial guides. It won't take too long to build up that many. By the time you've leveled up a few characters for synergies and farmed some Heroic (Red) Challenges and terminals for some gear you may even be past 150 IP when you try the trial. Worst thing that can happen when you try the trial is you fail there is no punishment. So give it a shot and see if you're missing damage, survivability or both.

Not all end game builds work equally well with less IP and gear. I tried a couple of the builds that already existed and found one that worked well to get through the Cosmic Trial. 

Synergies

I do not have Human Torch or Ghost Rider leveled up yet, I would strongly consider swapping in either or both for Hulk and Jean Grey.

Infinities

I went with The Mind Gem - Deep Thought I was having some spirit issues.

GEAR

- I tried  and  but I found Emma needing more raw damage.

 

 is one of my go to beefy artifact options.  and  are decent damage options that are pretty easy to farm up. I also threw in a . Emma needs damage.  and  would be good options too if you have them.

Her own uniques work for slot 1-5.There's better in some slots but we're trying to make gear as easy to get as we can.

For the medkit you want the shield on med kit use. Other than that prioritize + to spirit on medkit.

Inisgnia was just the one I had.

Team Up

Jessica Jones is kind of becoming my default here. The grouping is just too good.

Playstyle

I was torn between wanting to be full diamond melee Emma and wanting to clear the Trial w/ the least amount of gear farming. My first couple of attempts did not go well, so I transitioned to this hybrid build.

 - Filler. 

- Applies a DoT layer and vulnerability. Does not have a CD lasts 8 seconds.

- Link  and  with this ability. It's CD is 8s - same as their duration. That way you won't over cast those two. Spirit is precious. Also applies weaken on enemies and a buff to you. Use on CD. Also lowers the CD of .

- Dash, avoid damage, breaks CC.

- Our main goal is to use this as often as possible. We have two other abilities that lower the CD of this ability. Regens spirit and health as well as does damage and makes you invulnerable for the duration.

- DoT layer, fear. Does not have a CD lasts 8 seconds.

- Lowers the CD of . Use on CD. Adds another layer of vulnerable for mental damage only.

- Has up to 3 charges. Make sure you're weaving it in so that it doesn't sit at 3 charges. You want your cooldown working for you. So if you're ever at 3 make sure to use one. I generally spammed all 3 then used it when it was up.

Start with your  we want to use this as many times as possible.   in use  and  to apply your DoTs and time them with the CD of . Then use  . Prio  and  to lower CD of your signature. Reapply DoTs everytime you use Show Off. Use  whenever its up. If no other CDs are ready to go fill with .
