Hello Marvel Heroes Fans!

 

I have decided to share my Thing build with everyone, which is currently able to mindlessly stand in front of ANY bad guy and pummel them without worrying about your health pool or spirit management.

 

Usually builds that promise to do this do not come with ANY incentive to actually pull off KILLING anything, but this build is a GREAT exception.  Thing has moved to top tier in my book in TTL and pretty close when it comes to consistant TTK.  I will add much more to this guide later, but let's start with gear and alternative gear choices.

 

Uniques (1-5)

 

Semper Fi - His own slot 1 adds nothing but damaging stats and attributes, so really couldn't ask for more here.

Ben Grimm's Helmet - Tons of attributes, brut, damage and health.  Yes please.

UCWF Championship Belt - Attributes, health, crit/damage make this an easy pick for slot 3 for Thing.

Future Foundation Pants - Attributes and Health with this build.  There HAS to be something better, so working on this slot.  Currently testing Skrull Military Uniform and having pretty good results.

Cobra's Hood - This slot is rough.  I went with Cobra's Hood because it adds everything Ben is lacking.  Damage rating and brut strike.  His own slot 5 is OK though.

 

Artifacts (Blessing of Hela)

 

We need Hela to make up for lack of Brut strike.

 

Fred Dukes' Bodysuit - This item adds health which makes Yancy Street Goodbye do more damage and has tanky stats.

White Suit Jacket - This item adds health which makes Yancy Street Goodbye do more damage and has some solid offensive stats.

Sacred White Gorilla Necklace - Crit, defense and attributes.  Great artifact for Ben.

Advanced Circlet of Cyttorak - Brut, durability and damage make Ben a happy boy.

 

Building for Damage

 

Here is where you can branch off.  If 70% DR is too much for you and you would like to squeek out more damage, you can do the following:

 

Use these artifacts - Advanced Circlet of Cyttorak, Sacred White Gorilla Necklace, Gem of the Kursed, and Crossbones's Teaching Credentials (physical).

Swap out Shield for Savage Axe of Ares.

Swap out Infinity points in %health for brut strike chance.

 

The above will make him more of a DPS machine, still having around 60% damage reduction.  I prefer to stay alive, and this build does pleanty of damage while doing it.
